Bonjour everyone 

I'm 15 years old dude that is crossing over from punk to progressive rock,i became a prog fan when i heard an genesis song  ripples,that my dad showed to me in hope that i will change my music genres,and it actually work,but i still love to listen to  some  Dead Kennedy once in a while.I waste my time on studying biology and philosophy,and im also an adrenalin junkie. 

So this is it,see you around.

Check in with Frippism.  You don't need to crossover unless you are in to crossover prog. Tongue

Check out The Cardiacts and Knifeworld.  You might be pleasantly surprised.

Conventional wisdom was that punk killed prog.  Punk was certainly anti musicianship and conventional prog stagnated or turned to commercialism.  Frippism lives in Israel, so you won't be able to have a musical discussion with him in real time if you hail from the US.

Indeed. And like Andy said, if you want more of an interesting punk scene the Mother Band of The Mars Volta, At the Drive-In, made a fantastic album - Relationship of Command.

It's progressive and pretty much defined modern music, but I probably wouldn't call it prog. A prog fan could easily enjoy it, though.

I don't think anyone should covert between two genres of music. Prog and Punk are both great genres.
