I thought the sequel was the second film? Once you have three you have a series. So I won't vote on the basis of the question, just choose the film I like least. Can hardly believe you got Dark Night Rises here, what is wrong with you?

hold on now-- Rambo 3 was better than 2, and much better than the Rocky or Superman sequels. And sorry but Alien 3 is a great movie. I'd have to say Supes 4 or Batman&Robin.

I'm not going to vote, I have a lot of love for many of these films!
From this list, however.....maybe `Superman 3', if only for that wretched slapstick physical comedy opening credit scene! The film was pretty sweet when Superman fought that evil version of himself, though!
Even `Superman 4' is a lot of B-grade fun and has plenty of heart thanks to ever-reliable Christopher Reeves.
Wasn't that the film that had the huge globe of the world being suspended by one of Superman's single hairs?!

^have to disagree, Rocky 2 was better than 1. I quite enjoyed batman and Robin in a way. Weird isn't it.

Rocky II was a decent followup but come on now, Rocky was a classic from beginning to end

Saperlipopette! Pretty sure most fans kind of `blacklisted' Highlander 2 and essentially wiped it from the series continuity, am I correct? If only we could do that with so many other lame sequels!
Hey, I'm hoping I may have the worst sequel yet! :
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: The Secret Of The Ooze
Sadly, my friend and I had a conversation the other day wondering if it was as bad as we remembered, so we watched it again.....oh, it was even WORSE than our precious childhood memories told us.
So, yeah, the stain of that one is still pretty fresh!

Oh yes, with Vanilla Ice, that's the one!
That's bad enough, but the (urh) `film' comes across as the most inept, worst attempt at disguising a toy commercial as a movie. It doesn't even try to make any attempt at being even remotely decent, just falls flat from one scene to the next, rubbish martial arts scenes, dreadful voice acting from the lead characters, awful joke after awful joke.
Then again, it's meant for 6 year olds with the aim of selling them toys, so I suppose it was more than successful in that respect!
I suppose the puppet work and costumes are pretty well done, but that's the only plus!
Most sequels at least have the delusion of TRYING to be half-decent lol!

Actually, those are called "second sequels". So, you could say that those are "sequels in a series".
