Yes.  I was listening to one of them on BBC Radio last night.  He was arguing that (the usual) if this hadn't been a no gun space then this wouldn't have happened.  Its a pretty difficult argument to understand from here (UK) but I guess if you already have masses of guns everywhere then it has some validity.

Yes I have seen it.  I would find it pretty frightning if some of the people I knew had several guns stacked away with 6000 rounds etc.  I find it amazing that someone can buy all this without questions being asked.  
 
I find it difficult enough seing police with guns.  I remember the first time (which was in the Basque Country) and I found it quite shocking.  Oh well!

What was really interesting about that movie was the contrast between US and Canada.  That movie came out before the Mexican drug runners became more militant.  You could outlaw all guns but is harder for a guy with a knife to slit a thousand throats...

Chris has a good point there.  Let's keep guns somewhat cheap but if the ammo were more expensive it would be deterrent.

The quote is BS.  Holmes would be a terrorist if he proclaimed a political or religious agenda as reason for the killing of innocents.  Holmes is a thug (a selfish, criminal prick).  Last, mental illness could likely apply no matter his color or background.  What utter divisive nonsense.

Actually if he was muslim the media would rather than condemn him be worried about possible anti-muslim backlash. That's how stupid things are around the media. They sugar coat everything to avoid offending certain people.

The fact that he's white will probably play against him in the end.

No matter what color he is, he deserves no nothing. In this case death will be a reward. Life in the worst of situations would be a better punishment.

There is already an extensive gun control system in this country but there will never be a "gun ban" that makes civilian gun ownership a crime.
The firearms industry is a multi-billion dollar a year industry with very powerful lobbyist.
Even though there are several very powerful congressman that have been fighting for years to ban firearms they have never been able to come anywhere near achieving their goal.

My point?  It was initially presumed to be done by an Islamic terrorist.  Turned out to be a right wing white guy.  If were going to be concerned about the terrorists in our midst, we might want to take a closer look at people who look like us first.  The KKK was a terrorist organization ( and still is)and damned proud of it (went underground mostly).

He blew up a government building and Islamic terrorists were on the rise at the time. It was an easy assumption to make and just how many home-grown terrorists actually exist? An how many of those home grown terrorists that actually exist do have Al-Queda connections?
