I just listened to this one as well and thought it was excellent.  The sound is nowhere near the VdGG we know and love, but I appreciate that they're branching out and becoming more experimental in their sound.  Mackerel Ate Them, Extractus, Collosus, Sackbutt, and Repeat After Me were especially enjoyable.

And what did you think about that one?

Pretty much what I expected - low key and lovely. I couldn't really catch a lot of what went on in my first listen, but I think I'm going to like this one just fine.
Yeah, I thought it was pretty good too, but perhaps a bit too low key and ambient, at first listen. Will have to listen to it again soon.

Anyway, before:
Genesis Foxtrot album cover
Genesis The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway album cover

Mogwai - EP+6
Mogwai EP album cover
and
The Mars Volta Frances The Mute album cover
Now:
The Mars Volta Amputechture album cover

I'm doing it again right now.  Eager to hear what I might have missed.  Playing it a little louder this time.
