Post-rock with a more metal tinge to it. Very emotional stuff.

Post rock + metal...reminds me of Russian Circles, are PRSQ anything like that?  I'm going to have to give their music a try.

Yeah, yeah that's a pretty good comparison I think. Same methods, different flavor as Russian Circles.

Sounds like he was a great man. A nice touch that these threads are named after himThumbs Up

Now:
First listen. Almost finished. Pretty good, but I'm not blown away as of yet.

Now I'm really going to have to listen to them.  Onto today's list, along with Aube, Biosphere, Nightwish...

Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...

He also did one with Steve Roach called Stalker. But personally I find it really dull (this coming from a huge fan or dark ambient.) The Melvins one is fantastic though.

No, it was with Robert Rich. He and Steve Roach are often associated, but curiously so far, only Rich is in PA.

Great.

Never been on a great lake beach. An ocean beach or Ohio river beach spot or a small lake, yes.
