Kool & the Gang (early)
Reuben Wilson
Booker T & the MG's
The Meters
Eddie Hazel
Maceo Parker and the King's Men
The artists compiled on the sampler 'canadian racer' (a fine selection of obscure track from the candian vaults)

Not 70's but played in the same spirit :
Skeletons
Lefties Soul Connection
Menahan Street Band
Speedometer

"Magma was the very first gothic rock band" (Didier Lockwood)

This is closer to '70s TV cop show score.  Love it.

A beautiful funk groove with flute by Janko Nilović from Yugoslavia; the track is from his full-instrumental funk LP relased in 1975 for French label Montparnasse 2000.

A longest track from Janko Nilović's full-instrumental funk LP released in 1974 also for Montparnasse 2000 Label. Interestingly enough, Dr Dre sampled this track at the new album Cannon, 2015 (Loose Cannons #7)

An interesting Janko Nilović's track from 1970, titled Roses & Revolvers
