Family vacation, visiting my wife's sister. Drove from Atlanta to Charlotte last night, then to Philadelphia today. 13 hours today for what we expected to be about 7-8 hours. Storms last night tore up a lot of the places we drove through, and traffic was just nuts. |
WHAT? 13 hours in a car?  Wouldn't it be easy to take a bus or an airplane (even though the original schedule was 8 hours top)? |
we probably will fly next time, but buying 3 tickets seemed a bit much for what we thought was a pretty easy drive - we go to other parts of Pennsylvania by car routinely. I think today was just a fluke. |

Normally my wife and I would trade off, but I drove the whole time this time because I wasn't prepared to take on the task of navigating. My wife is a wiz with her iphone gps system, I'm not.
