Didn't you know he's the voice of Tommy The Cat?

Thanks. I wanted to change it up a little instead of just have a single picture. I love his Lotus Flower dance!
Great Swilson picture, don't think i saw that one before.. I think i'm the only one that notices this but i have a corresponding location for each of my avatars. hehe

Yeah, I notice you usually have a cycle. One week it will be the Mastodon dude (Brett, I think?) and the other will be RUSH, then Hiromi and so on, and so forth. Did you have to search a while to find that Thom Yorke picture? Seems like a rare find. The Lotus Flower Dance is awesome.
|
Yea i usually go around in my cycle twice a day, but weekly i add one or two to my collection. I googled Lotus Flower dance and found a series of his faces aligned horizontally. So i just edited them to be 2x2.

I've found some really good band pics. I found a great Sigur Ros one with them posing on this grass structure with the sun beaming - it's really nice. My last Toby one was pretty cool as well. I want his guitar. I actually searched him up on facebook and he accepted my friend request.
|
I was thinking of using that Toby picture a while ago, don't know why i never did. It's great. I've been trying to find a Russian Circles avatar, they have no great pictures. |
I;m actually browsing some right now. There's one I could totally see you use for your signature - quite horizontal. There's a cool one with them in front of, what it looks to me like an aquarium. I wanted to see them live so badly, but the show in Toronto is 19+. They are said to be phenomenal live. I think Colin may have been a witness.

Sure am.
I missed my 2nd chance to see them just last week, because it was a Wednesday night which doesn't work real well when you work at 7:30 the next morning. Seeing Boris with Stephen was a lot of fun though.

You know what, I was thinking of Tom Jones, not Waits.

Wow, still, that's great. I would love a Kayo Dot shirt myself. My parents prefer not too buy items on line, so I have to purchase pre-paid Visa credits instead. I think Jonsi of Sigur Ros does the relatively the same as Toby in terms of product design and distribution - he designs all the shirts and such.

Seas of Cheese is their only album I can listen all the way though. Pork Soda has a lot of good tracks, though.

throat still hurts like a biatch, but sorta better now.
And yeah Gregorovich (I'm assuming your parents are Russian therefore your full name is something super Slavic. Gregoroslav?). I can't say I know that feel to much. But you get a hug anyway. Also, did you ever see a psychiatrist? I feel like many people here could use one.

You from Alberta or B.C.? I've heard of Boris through this site, I've never listened to them though. Sunn O))) is quite an amazing band and I think they are associated with Boris, if I'm not mistaken. Merzbow too I think. All my opinion of course, but Noise music really isn't my thing.

Alberta.
Boris has done some dronedoom (like Sunn o)))), but I prefer them for their old-school sludge albums. They have a lot of varied styles of works, and basically all of them are good IMO. Not really a fan of Merzbow, but I like a couple of the albums he did with Boris.
Okay, now for real I'm going :P

Boris have a few different styles, their stoner/sludge metal stuff is really good.

Slap on The Sky Moves Sideways. The album is a sonic experience - one of my all time favourites. Voyage 34 is also quite amazing.

I'm still kinda sick so honestly I prefer something a bit less psychedelic :D so I'll go with "Fear of a Blank Planet" as it is their sorta pop record.
I'm sorry but SW's lyrics are terrible :(
