I really want that huge, explosive envelope effect that Rutherford uses on TOTT. Is it a bass pedal or an effect? I would love to be able to play Dance on a Volcano with those huge bass hits. Any suggestions?

I think he regularly underpins that double neck Epiphone bass with
pedals... What's your explanation then?

That Rutherford does like his pedals.

On this album the long sustained bass notes are on Moog Taurus Mk1 pedals. Important to differentiate between these and the Mark 2 design which never had the same kick.

Because of the heavy sub-harmonics of these pedals they were amazing to 'hear' (feel) on on the trick tour - a real kick in the chest. A set of Taurus 1 went for $900 on Ebay lasy year.
