Unlike Swilson, who listens to some obscure stuff.

Another new album to follow Banks of Eden?  Really?

Jordan is the only member of DT who actually listens to a lot of good music. LOL

John Petrucci put some Christian post-grunge album as his #1 of 2011.

Ahh, apparently his encounter with The Count caused him to be born again . . .

A member of DTF who frequently visits the TFK Yahoo group, as well as Garden of Dreams forums, said he read it somewhere; but I go on all those sites too.

Listening to BoE again. This time, I am not listening to the bonus disc along with the actual album, so that I can focus just on the main disc. I was starting to feel that BoE is not as good as most of the previous TFK output, but this listening session is making me think this might be a top 3 TFK album. I think listening to the bonus songs right after BoE brings the album down, so I will now keep the 2 separate from now on. I like the bonus songs by themselves, but not part of the album proper.

Oh lordy lordy, I feel so cheated.

So much of TFK's music would be infinitely more enjoyable to me if it wasn't for Stolt's utterly 'old man'ish vocals.
Am I the only one that thinks he's always sounded like an old man with emphysema. Oh god I cringe when I listen to any one of TFKs music with lyrics these days :(

I know, I'm a troll!

Kinda. I mostly think he sounds like John Wetton, especially on the first few TFK albums. Later albums seem more Stolt-ish. You know it's him when you hear him.

I love his vocals, but I've already seen this complain before. (I think) That's why Hasse Fröberg sings mostly everything since the early 2000's.

I still have to take Banks of Eden on the road. I haven't listened to it in the car yet since I got it. My favorite album to listen to in the car is Back In The World of Adventures; especially on a bright sunny day like today.

I listened to Adam & Eve again before, and now I'm listening to Tomas Bodin's "Sonic Boulevard", and does anyone else feel like Tomas had a big hand in the writing on A&E, because I hear his style a lot on TFK albums since getting "Sonic Boulevard" and "I AM"; it's really noticeable on A&E though.

I would love to see Roine do a whole album in the style of "Fireghosts" and "LoLines." It would be a lot of fun and a nice change of pace.

Really? A&E is my least favorite studio album in all the Flower kings discog. And I was having high hopes for his solo works. . . .

you're killing me!LOL  i can't help it... since i watched the 'making of' for systematic chaos last month... i find mr petrucci to be a very funny man...

otoh... i really like stolt's voice... it's distinctive... 'old man vocals'  eh?that's pretty good... but i like weird/sometimes weak vocalists...

I listened to The Sum of No Evil for the second time today and it finally clicked. Damn this is an awesome album.
It's right up there with Unfold the Future and Flower Power for sure.

I purchased Banks of Eden yesterday and started listening to it. The first song shows promise but it's a little disjointed, needs more listens. The second one was on the right track. Then I couldn't continue listening for other reasons. I'll continue today I hope.

It makes me sad nobody seems to love the great The Rainmaker...

I like Adam & Eve for some reason, the only weak TFK album is The Rainmaker, which of course has great stuff too; but don't let what I said turn you off to checking out Tomas' solo stuff. "I AM" is one of the best albums by anyone in the TFK family. Seriously, it's really good. I was just comparing writing style, the album sounds nothing like A&E. Sonic Boulevard is good, but not spectacular. That's all I've heard from his solo albums so far.

I like The Rainmaker, even though I think it's on the bottom of my list of favorite TFK albums, it's still great, and I generally sit through the whole thing.
