Hey, Green Day is at least a start. Probably means she likes guitars. Most people don't even know yet there's better alternatives out there in underground music.
Did you figure out why she was pissed off?
The menu at the place we were eating didn't have what she wanted. So her getting a moody was kind of a red light to begin with, but I still was interested.

Found an old record in my collection with a funny story. Years ago I worked for a healthcare company, and the CEO was a lady who'd made a pretty big name for herself in the local healthcare industry, having been CEO of a large hospital before this. Anyway, I heard that back in the late 60s, she was in a bubblegum pop group called The Peppermint Rainbow (ha ha) and actually had a hit. One day while record shopping, I found the record, bought it, ripped it to a CD, and put it on her desk. Had a good laugh over that.

And hey, if she prefers older Green Day (Insomniac) then she's already got quite a leg up on the competition.
As far as straight-up alternative rock goes, old Green Day is pretty unbeatable if you ask me.
lol "competiton" I know nothing about Green Day, though I assume she'd like them most when they sound like My Chemical Romance, etc. I told her I liked post rock and breakcore, and she pretended to know what those were, so maybe she liked me. butt if I had to choose, I would still prefer the motW gril

But...he's 15 too so your point is at least semi-invalid, amirite?
It's valid for one of the involved parties, at least.
I guess. Though at 15 I was already pretty much out of all the bad music I previously enjoyed, I discovered Primus at around that age along with some other pretty cool stuff...jazz especially.
