That's still pretty sweet though! I'll have the ability to drive once I move in with my parents in the fall. How about we meet half way?

I haven't made any sense out of Delirium Cordia yet, if that's what you're asking.  The whole thing is either too quiet or too scary for me to listen to.

I mean the long serises of depression and confusuion that is life

Life is not about you. Life is about loving your fellow man and woman. And realizing your insignificance in this universe but realizing that significance can only come by you interacting with others. Because life is all just a bunch of relative problems. People go through things whether they are rich or poor. Pain is pain. YOu can't escape pain. Pain is neverending and every moment you exist there is a chance to experience it. But what you can do is lessen the pain on others, and if enough people see this as the true meaning then they too will help lessen your own pain and eventually love can be had throughout the company you keep, and that is the world that is can become significant.

Also, learn to love yourself. Learn to be independent. Learn to cry alone. Learn to laugh alone.

You're young. Life hasn't even BEGUN to get confusing yet. You are seriously at the stage that was one of the better parts of life that I wish I could experience again. It only gets more confusing.

No. It gets harder. But if you can love yourself you will make it. Seriously don't turn out like my f**king stupid ass. Hating myself all the time is the main reason I am miserable. If i loved myself then the pains I went through in life would be more acceptable.

Life gets confusing when you tie yourself into the evil money machine. BILLS BILLS BILLS BILLS BILLS

It's confusing when you move out and try to make it on your own. You will learn what sort of horrible unresponsible scum you did or didnt become.

Luck.

I'm not into badly composed epics. What's the longest, well written epic?

Length does not indicate quality.

However, I will give you what I think are the best long tracks ever written.

1. Tales from Tropographic Oceans - Yes:  Four tracks, 20 minutes apiece.
2. Mei - Echolyn: The greatest way to spend 50 minutes.  One song.
3. The Whirlwind - Transatlantic.  The opus is divided into tracks, but it flows remarkably well.
4. The Hazards of Love - The Decemberists.  Not one epic, but the entire album flows very well into one prog folk rock opera.

The problem with life is that the lessons you learn are the lessons you needed to learn to avoid what taught you the lesson in the first place.

Seeing you're already a The Mars Volta fan, i'm sure you're familiar with Frances the Mute?

I know a girl that was raped by her father when she was about your age. At least your life is not that confusing.

I've never seen the "it could be worse" argument help anyone. :P

Me neither. Actually it always makes me feel worse knowing that someone else has a life that difficult.

Pain is all relative. This is why I hate myself. I always take steps back and realize what f**king scum I am for being worried about such petty problems.

Man, I am not helping at all.

I know Mike has that one, he has all of their albums, but I only listened to Amputechture and Bedlam in Goliath so far.
