Well, you live in the middle of nowhere, so I'd expect a crap library. They've got DVDs, CDs, Video Games, Magazines. All to borrow for free.

OK now it's time for bed and some more laid back style Krautrock...thinking probably either Popol Vuh or Yatha Sidhra, we'll see. May end up being Ash Ra Tempel for all I know. ![LOL LOL](smileys/smiley36.gif) G'night.

I have a weird hobby of making bios for fake bands. This is one I did today: Multi-speed Casstte Recorder was an avant-garde classical and progressive rock band from Manchester, Missouri. They formed in 1978, and were made up of Mike Chesterfield on guitar, vocals, and keyboards, Sebastion Lell on bass, and Derek Jefferson on drums. The three released "The Swan Tree" in 1980. It was not well recived by most critics, mostly due to it's Progressive rock sound, which got the band being accused of being "stuck in the past". Only one song, "To Kill, to Sleep", had vocals. -The Swan Tree- 1.Mysterious Other 8:19 2.Get Ready for Something 12:39 3.To Kill, to Sleep 10:30 4.The Swan Tree 8:42 Sebastion's brother, Luke, joined the band on guitar and keyboards. The band then released "Walk". The album had a more avant-garde feel. The completely instrumental album recived poor reviews, but an avant-garde jazz and classical magazine in New York "The Other in" did a 4/5 star review of the album, which gave the album more than double sales than thier debut. -Walk- 1.Dead Trees 22:19 2.Walking 8:07 3.Slowing Down 8:58 By thier third album, "Sdiers" (pronounced Sid-ears), the band had lost thier prog style and became completely focused on more avant works. The band had abandoned all keyboards and began using new techuniques of playing thier instruments. They also had much more improvisation. The album features much more vocal tracks than thier previous albums, the only instrumentals being the title track and "Running With People". Chesterfield adopted an angrier vocal style, and also added improvised inchoerant yells throughout the songs. They still did not recive positive mainstream reviews, but were even more well recived in the Avant community than before. -Sdiers- 1.Sdiers 4:55 2.Picture Perfect 19:11 3.Rising Up 11:43 4.Running With People 7:15 In 1984, the quartet released thier final album. The first two continue with the avant styles of the previous album, and "Ego- maniac", the only vocal song on the album, continuing with Chesterfield's angry vocals and improvised yells. "Returning" is a rerecorded version of an un-named instrumental recorded during the sessions for "The Swan Tree", named "Returning" because the song was a return to thier proggier style. -Outoverandthesongsof- 1.Egomaniac 7:20 2.Wrong Time Listed 17:20 3.Returning 7:19 *On the original vinyl release of "Outoverandthesongsof", "Egomaniac" and "Wrong Time Listed" were flipped. When the album was re-released on CD in 1987, the songs were put in the order the band oringinaly wanted. Multi-speed Cassette Players dissolved in 1985. When asked why in a 1992 interview, Jefferson said they all wanted to take a break and do thier own projects. They planed on getting back together at some point, but it is unkown if they ever will.
