Hello from the Czech Republic :-)  I'm feeling glad to discover this forum. But it's quite difficult to orientate here. So my favs:
VDGG-the real inspiration for my life :) Brilliant all the ways.
Pink Floyd-really love them. It's true art.
Genesis- lovely band, lovely PG, I appreciate their 1st album as well (everybody hates it)
Yes-love their covers and..of course their music. It's our family's tradition to listen to close to the edge on Christmas eve.
ELP-Heart
King Crimson-Heart
Dream Theater-Heart

Would you please recommend me more good prog bands ? Hug

Welcome to the forum. Glad to meet you.

It depends. You've listed some leading core prog bands, so you might want to dig into some Tull Smile . Also you might want to be introduced with The Mahavishnu Orchestra. And hey, where would you be without some Soft Machine ("Third")? In fact, as you might have noticed, we have a whole list of top 100 best prog albums list here on PA, so you might take those as recommmendations. Of obscure symph/art/metal prog bands, I would recommend ... OK, I got nothing ... unless you think Agitation Free and Affinity are obscure. My knowledge base isn't relatively huge.

Of my own interests I would recommend Popol Vuh, Amon Duul II and ... well, if you are interested in prog-related stuff, let me know.

Hello from Russia ... and the U. S.

Also try:
If you want something really different and weird try
Kate Bush "Aerial"
The Residents "Commercial Album"
Devin Townsend's "Ziltoid the Omniscient"
Magma's "MDK"
Gong's "Angel's Egg"
Ayreon "The Human Equation"
Star One's "Victim of the Modern Age"

Guaranteed to be something there that will spark your attention

Welcome! Cool
Dig me...But don't...Bury me
I'm running still, I shall until, one day, I hope that I'll arrive
Warning: Listening to jazz excessively can cause a laxative effect.
