I'm gonna have to say no, but it reminds me of the badassness of NES music.

I would say no. Sounded like new age music.
Best of 2006 that I've heard:
PFM-Stati Di Immaginazione
Zenit-Surrender (Best "unknown" album)
Oaksenham - Conquest of Pacific
2007:
Phideaux - Doomsday Afternoon
La Torre Del Alchimista - Neo

Tuxy-pie:  The MIDI isn't that representative of it...  I saw an NES cover band playing it (yes, they exist ), and it was SO DP.  Lemme see if I can find a link...

utah man:

I'm not ready to be quite as critical as the others.  For me, I simply think there is not enough to go on yet to determine whether it is prog or not.  It would depend on how it developed, what else you added to it (instrumentation, vocals, effects, etc.), how it was produced, etc.

Personally, I think it has potential.

Peace.

Nice rhythm, but nothing on DP

I prefer Rainbow

Take it a step farther, loose the mechanical sound, replace the key-bass with a real bass guitar, expand the melodie line, add some rhytm and improve on that. this is way too mechanical.

I like the guitaresque sound, but there is no real background to elevate the melodie
