^ Must not have watched The Simpsons back in their prime.
Anyway, Rand just ruined any chance he had at 2016. Always defended him as a simply the politically savvy version of his father but today's move is just flat out dumb. He's now dead to his father's supporters.

What's sad (and we always kind of new this) is that, afterbRon Paul is gone, there's no one that can, so to speak, carry the torch. The idea will stay, many people will have changed their minds, but there will be no figure that we know right now at least that will be able to continue to put in the national spotlight and continue to gather more supporters for this idea.
Anyway, I hope discerning people realize that Rand's actions are his own and nobody starts saying "you see these Pauls are just typical republicans".

Wonder what they gave him to kiss the ring. He should know well enough that this ruins him to his father's followers and that leaves him with no political future as, no matter what he does, the establishment will never trust a Paul. Something strange has been going on with the whole campaign for awhile now. Anyway, Gary Johnson just came out with a pretty fantastic ad:

Does Rand Paul's endorsement even mean anything? If it has no real value, then why make an endorsement to begin with?
Regardless of it it means anything in the long term or not, I think symbolically to many of his father's supporters (myself included), it's not a good sign. Perhaps even borderline betrayal. But then again, he's always been a bit too close to the Tea Party for my liking so maybe it was an eventuality.
And yeah, I haven't really seen the Johnson/Barr connection yet either.

That's my point- he's probably doing more damage to himself / his dad than he is helping Romney.

Oh yeah, Rand effectively ended his career. He's dead to supporters of his father (really, you stab your dad in the back on a show hosted by one of his biggest enemies) and, because of the name he just sold out, he'll never be really accepted by the establishment. His 2016 presidential run is DOA and I actually think his Senate seat is now in jeopardy. Uncle Tomming is not the way to win people over.

Yet, two points:
1. His father knew he wouldn't win. Now the dad's strategy is to influence the GOP platform. Rand may be his father's pawn.
2. People forget a lot of sh*t in four years. Rand Paul's endorsement of Romney is nothing in the long term.

1. His father's campaign has been disappointing it's supporters recently, as well. The strategy of the last month has either been so brilliant it's appeared completely self-defeating and idiotic or it has been simply those last two.
2. Ron Paul supporters don't forget. Trust me in saying that Rand won't be trusted again (there had always been a sizeable group of his father's supporters who never did trust him, anyway).

We don't kill civilians anyway. Anyone who looks 18 or older and who is killed by a drone is automatically assumed to be a terrorist unless proven otherwise. The US military should probably stop pretending it treats brown people as anything other than dirt to step on, regardless of whether they are made of women and children or adult men.
