Did any of you go to the show?
To be honest, I expected more... The previous 2 shows I went to (2011 Katowice, 2009 Budapest) were so much better.
I'm not saying the show wasn't good, the guys were excellent. However, the quality of the sound was just not good enough. Sometimes you couldn't hear Labrie very well and the bass sound in general just wasn't good.
What I was really shocked about is that Petrucci made a mistake when starting a solo in Breaking All Illusions. It looked like he forgot to start playing and played the solo like 2 seconds later, out of rythm and had to improvise for the next 15 seconds. Also, almost half of the songs they played were from the newest album and they didn't play any songs from BC&SL. The drum solo wasn't great either. Mangini showed that his technique is amazing but I couldn't really hear any kind of melody in it. If I was to rate it it would be 3/5 probably.

I'm not gonna bother with audience footage when there's a DVD in the works.

I totally agree......others will not agree with me but this album was rushed out.....It should have been much better. I'm sorry but laying down the vocal tracks in Canada and the drumming in Calif and the rest in NYC, it shows it was not a collaborate effort IMHO.

I can see Mexico City's concert wasn't the only one with horrible sound! I liked the show in general, but I prefared BC&SL live performance.

Also, the setlist was excellent, so I enjoyed this concert a lot!

He and Rudess will do this on occasion to make us think they are mortals like the rest of us.

I've seen DT live 5 or 6 times and the only time they had a decent sound was on the tour with Sherinian (first time i saw them).

The sound on the Scenes From A Memory was far from good but OK, partly compensated because I loved the album so much at that time (I still do but less than back then).

On all the later shows the sound has been crap, unbelievable and totally unacceptable for a band of their caliber.
