And I just read the lyrics for the first time.  Oh dear.

I had this stuck in my head today too, while on my way to Best Buy to make those three purchases (Live at Leeds, Houses of the Holy, SABB).

Man, never even read a lyric sheet for that song. That's one of the reasons I don't like it:

Erogenous zones, I love you!
Erogenous zones, I question you!

Drawing water for the we-e-e-e-e-e-ell
Spilling over on the gra-a-a-a-a-ass
... my heart ...
But woe owes me
Go your way, my love.

I think that second line is: "Without you, what would a poor boy do?"

I don't know whether to laugh or cringe when I hear Peter sing that one.

So anyway, right now:

Every time I run somewhere, "Counting Out Time" gets stuck in my head. Why don't you just start listening to something else, get yer mind off of "The Lamb"? Does that even work for you?

My advice to people who get unwanted songs stuck in their head: start listening to some XTC.  That stuff sticks like glue.  Of course, you always run the risk of hating XTC.

I really like that live version of In the Evening, but the studio version is of course excellent too.

It's been a while since I've listened to The Lamb, actually.  I listened to the songs I posted, but after I had them stuck in my head.  I don't know why my brain has been playing music from that album lately, it just must be the catchiness of the songs.

Right now it's something different:  Open Arms by Journey.
