Excellentness. What does it consist of?

New Guided By Voices, new 6LA8, alot of old favorites like Van Morrison, Fleetwood Mac and Meat Loaf that I hadn't listened to in a long time or even had digitally, new TV Girl mixtape, some assorted free bandcamp music and some various other records. Shocked

Sounds epic! I've been doing Meat Loaf recently as well. Fun stuff Big smile. My album has ended, time to put something else on!

I love having days like you're having, going back to albums that are fantastic that I just haven't heard in awhile, feels good man.

Yeah it does. Discovering new love for an album you've always had but never really listened to is incredibly satisfying

So I'm listening to Images and Words for the first time and so far it's surprisingly fantastic. I was not expecting such a positive reaction.

Dream Theater's first three albums are fantastic.

I need to give them another shot soon. I just got more and more pissed off with them from Octavarium onwards. Although I did warm up to Octo for a while there.

I&W is the only album of theirs I've listened to in a while. I should pop in Falling into Infinity or something...

I like Black Clouds, mostly for Petrucci's heavy guitar tone. Portnoy's vocals are seriously annoying and awful though.

Falling into Infinity, Awake, and DToE are prolly my favorites right now. Haven't listened to much recently though.

Octavarium is different, but in no way bad.

I burned myself on a toaster and the resulting scab is the grossest thing I've seen on my body in a long time.

Less metal was a good thing. *cough*

But yeah, in the ear of the listener.

I do like me some Octavarium. Actually, the next album I listen to of theirs should be that one. I do not like Black Clouds at all though, no one can change my mind on that.

I watched Score recently and I had to divide it over 3 days. 3 straight hours of DT is too much DT.
