I'm not sure if I've ever watched an entire speech from a president.

I was in Washington D.C. when he first ran for president.  When I took a tour of the U.S. Senate, I walked up the stairs right behind him and his bodyguards.  He was still running for the Democratic nomination at the time.  The same day I was in a room where they made us stand and wait while Hilary Clinton and her entourage walked through on her way for a vote that was taking place on the floor that day.
