This concert was incredible. It was held at the SHowbox SoDo.
I was one of the first people in line so i was lucky to be very close for this show.
Ghost was pretty awesome. They put on a really good stage show.
The only bad part about them were some faanboys i happened to be standing by who knew and decided to sing almost ever word of their songs, so I barely got to hear the singer actually sing.
Mastodon was pretty good as well. They have recorded most of their albums in Seattle and are very dear and loving to that wonderful city. They even did a signing at a record store their before the show that I almost went to. Icouldn't enjoy Mastodon as much as I wanted due to too much pushing and sweatyness and what not at the front.
I couldn't even get a picture of them.
And finally Opeth. They stolel the show. They were so incredible. I made sure to get as close as possible for them and i was just about one person behind the very front for most of their show. They started off with Devil's Orchard of course. Which might have been my favorite song of the night. the Heritage album sounds way heavier live.
Mikael is amazing and hilarious. At one point intheir show, he jokingly asked the crowd what we wanted to hear next. Most of the crowd said Ghost of Perdition of course, then there was the one person that says Free Bird, then someone said The Final Countdown.. Mikael then turned to his keyboardist for him to start playing it, but sadly, he didn't know it. But Mikael ended up playing the song on his guitar which was awesome. Opeth will now be a must see band everytime they come to town. They will now join my list of Iron Maiden and Rush.
I am probably one of the worst picture takers. But this is how close I was.
