I will ask my wife (she’s a painter) if she thinks fashion is art or not. It will probably be a lengthy discussion.

My wife said yes, fashion can be art. Then I called Thanasis (he plays the saxophone and he’s a fan of Adorno), and he also said yes. Then I talked to his girlfriend Dominica (she’s Belgian and plays the viola), and she said something like, "Good question! Sometimes fashion is art but most of the time it’s not."

I think Coco Chanel made art, and it was even political art. However, fashion is not normally considered art, so I would have been misleading you if I answered yes. Is architecture art? Goethe called it "frozen music", but most of the architecture I see is not art at all. And what would you call this?

I don't think so. one can of course try to deny that there are psychological differences between men and women, but I am certain that this would be way off the mark. and one of those differences is that very few men care for fashion. of course there are exceptions, but I never denied that
