Just got this from the Jan Akkerman website from a 1973 interview with the man himself. It turns out that OZZY wasn't the first rock star to urinate on the Alamo. Akkerman did it back in '73 "just for fun" at 6 AM one morning when Focus were touring touring in Texas.

Oh that Jan. I love how he described it "just for fun". Man, I feel sorry for the guy that got pissed on! |

Not sure if obscure enough but Steve Howe in a band called Bodast (he was the st part) had a (I've track forgotten the title as the vinyl vanished from me a long time ago) but there that track eventually became Wurm (part 3) on Starship Trooper (Yes Album.)

I think almost everyone here knows that one. In other news: Robert Fripp and Debbie Harry were working together on several occasions (performing at CBGB, the remake of "Alphaville", etc.)

Thought so but not actually seen it mentioned. Not really looked either...
But Fripp was behind the curtains at a Blondie London '80 gig and a Gabriel one LA 77. Both broadacast. It's him on Blondies Fadeaway and Radiate. |

Though not sure if they are quite prog, really, but Blue Oyster Cult's album Secret Treaties was originally called "Power In The Hands Of Fools" (i even remember a music magazine article referring to it as that)

Probably already in here somewhere and/or not considered as obscure, but:
-Motörhead's Ian "Lemmy" Kilmister used to play the bass in the space-rock band Hawkwind -He also was a roadie for Jimmy Hendrix -And for Keith Emerson as well. When he saw Emerson stabbing knives into his hammond, he thought that this show could be improved and gave him a SS-Dagger from his nazi memorabilia which Emerson used from that point on. |

Speaking of Lemmy, a certain youngster sold him his electric guitar when decided he will play blues on some more unusual instrument, such is flute. |

I just found this out about Trevor Horn, from Wikipedia:
Horn married former mathematics teacher and business partner Jill Sinclair in 1980. They have four children, a son Aaron (born 1984) and three daughters, Rebecca, Gabriella and Alexandra (or "Ally"), the latter of whom has worked as a trainee solicitor[18]. Aaron (known in the industry as "Aaron Audio"[19]), like his father, is a musician and producer. He works with his band, Sam and the Womp[20] and frequently DJs around London. On 25 June 2006, while at home from Goldsmiths College, University of London, Aaron was practising with his air rifle, not realising his mother was close by. A 4,5 mm. (.22 caliber) air gun pellet accidentally hit Jill in the neck, severing an artery. She was rushed to Reading hospital intensive care unit where her condition was described as "critical but stable". She was initially reported to be under deep sedation in an induced coma, possibly suffering from brain damage. Communication from ZTT Records confirmed on 1 September 2006 that Jill is in a natural coma and had been moved to a rehabilitation centre. In September 2009, Horn told The Times that he preferred not to answer questions about his wife, but confirmed that she was still in a coma.[21] Edited by cstack3 - April 15 2012 at 00:41 |

The so-called unreliability of Wikipedia is massively exaggerated. And considering this has citations everywhere, it's 100% definitely legit.

My theory is the exact reason they tell everyone. Why is it so hard to accept?

I'm usually skeptical of Wikipedia, but I use it as a starting point for further research, and for this it appears helpful. Regarding Trevor Horn's wife, please see: |

If I catch a piece of evidence useful for my counter-argument, I'll let you know . BTW, just caught a rendition of Floyd's 'The Thin Ice' performed by Ian Anderson, Gary Green, and Tony Levin on MySpace ... come to think of that.

Not sure how obscure this really is, but Adrian Belew worked with Bowie, Zappa, Talking Heads, and King Crimson.
