1980 is the cut off point for me.Duke and And Then There Were Three are well up there in my estimations. Abacab was a marked change of direction. I still havn't bought any of the studio albums from Abacab to We Can't Dance and CAS was deadly boring.

If you are not rigorous about making those two lists, then:
1. Nursery Cryme 2. Trespass 3. FGTR (go on, sue me; I'm a lame-and-outdated-pop lover) 4. SEBTP 5. Foxtrot

Using the same date split as the OP...
1969-1976 Bear in mind the degrees of favourtism here are very small 1 - Nursery Cryme 2 - Foxtrot 3 - Live 4 - Selling England By The Pound 4 - Lamb Lies Down On Broadway 1978-1997 1 - Seconds Out 2 - Three Sides Live 3 - Duke 4 - And Then There Were 3 5 - Abacab [edit] Although I'm a huge fan of Genesis, I really wish they'd called it a day after 3 Sides Live. ^If we include live albums that changes everything.I would put Seconds Out somewhere. Actuaaly Jim it doesn't fit in either of your chart parameters.

Sounds good to me. Better than all that boom booming when a car drive past. So loud you can here it in your house as someone drives past with there windows shut.

How can you not listen to Dance On A Volcano/Los Endos from that album at anything other than high volume - it's one of the gtreatest endings to a live album, ever.
Especially when compared to the 'Rome' version |
