I found it a month ago on the floor of a record shop in the middle of death metal discs. I'm not at all in death metal, but sometimes I pick up there old RPI albums. Ah mysteries of classification ... This is the world now.

Hey is there anybody out there who actually has that Cornucopia record? I think they lost the Krautrock feel by their second outing, but this one called Full Horn, which also should be quite obvious in the YouTube clip, is one big tangy hot sauce disc. I really dig that record.

Here's something I discovered a couple of years ago, I don't think they've been mentioned on this thread yet. I'd heard their debut album years ago but didn't like it that much, then I came across the second album, and WOW what an improvement. Here is side one of Thirsty Moon's second album "You'll Never Come Back".

I am really digging the Thirsty Moon as well, although that sounds like an old Indian proverb of some sorts... Definitely going on the list.

And seeing as everything evolves around jazz with you at the moment John, I just got a hold of Exmagma's third album. Haven't spun it yet, but man am I looking forward to it. If it's anything like the two previous ones, I'll be a happy camper, and this post will fit into the Krautrock space too, as I truly believe Exmagma were a Krautrock band with fusion ties.

I'm glad you like it Steve. Always room for some more Krautrock heads around here. Has been kind of slow the past couple of months - so it is great to have you aboard.

I am visiting an old fave of mine called Think - Variety. Great combo of psych and fusion with a slight nod towards the end of the 60s.

Well they are listed under Jazz/Fusion here as are EX-MAGMA that David just mentioned. On this thread we don't have a black and white attitude towards what's Krautrock and what's not, it's just us talking about anything that's even close, like Psychedelic/Space Rock and trippy Jazz/Fusion, especially if it's from Germany but not necessarily. Point taken though.

Some excellent bands straddle more than one sub genre, like Dzyan, who are just as jazz-rock, really, as krautrock. Could call them either, i guess.Great and under-rated band. Have talked by phone to their guitar/sitar player Eddy Marron-nice chap.(and a brilliant musician) Have you guys heard the band that Dzyan became called Giger, Lenz and Marron? They are totally awesome, and put out two records, Beyond and Where The Hammer Hangs

Very good point about bands crossing the genre lines. On this site it's set up so a band can only be in one genre, but on for example the RYM site they are tagged often with multiple genre titles.

Also i have my music sorted by genre and because of that i might have some albums from a band in one section and others of their's in another because they've changed their style. Actually i have early Kraan in Krautrock and their later stuff in Jazz/Fusion.
I'm very familiar with Eddy Moran from Vita Nova and Dzyan but i've not heard of that later project so i'll check them out. Thanks ! The man can play guitar.
