a.P.A.t.T. was recently added to PA. Their albums have no ratings yet and I'm actually surprised they got on the site because they are so musically diverse; they could literally play any type of music. Here's a few vids:

Great job. You don't have to focus on modern prog, in fact like you i also prefer the 70's stuff. I have some more to offer... Edited by sagichim - April 06 2012 at 01:53 |

Here is Eclat, a french band listed as fusion which is not accurate for their second album. It is more eclectic maybe crossover. They have great fiery guitar and some lovely clever bass lines, beautiful album with good vocals sung in french.
The track i wanted to post is attached to another one (in youtube), so you can hear them both or go to 3:45 directly. Edited by sagichim - April 07 2012 at 01:57 |

Oh, my freaking God! I didn't even know this guy was on PA! Bert Jansch rules! And RIP. Hell, I don't think that at least a dozen people on the website know about him being on PA. How he qualified as a PROG-folk artist is just beyond me.

Some of these are really obscure and some are more well-known. But I think that alot of fans of Symphonic Prog (especially Genesis fan), will like Savage Rose (which by some strange reason is not included in PA).

Just remember: he was not a prog artist, at least when he went solo. I would have also pitched in Alice's Wonderland (the only time I remember Bert dong serious jazz-folk) and Alman, but this is where YouTube failed me.

Michel Zacha
French artist in crossover, combining genres such as as chanson and prog rock in his career. I only got to reviewing one of the albums cause they are hard to find but the second one is now on youtube while I only found a few samples from the first one. |

i recomend Bridges, very obscure and very hard to get any albums, since only 1000 was released/printed, it later evolved into a-ha, but Bridges is a the Doors influenced crossover prog band that have really cool bass lines, which i would as a bass player highlight as a the biggest + for them as a band, good bass and good keybrods, and Paul does some cool guitarwork as well, and Mags singing is not bad. but not in a Morten quality
you might also want to check out Mammoth Volume, a really strong band whom mix heavy rock with prog, but leans strongest towards heavy rock, |

^ In spite of what our friend 'snow dog' says, it would be better to post samples to your recommendations.

Well, I don't think we really need to edit them. I am quite sure Snow Dog is capable of doing that himself.
