So Rombot's got it, you can't stand Obama, the Libertarian Party is still the biggest third in the country and haven't picked their candidate. Who do you guys favor?

Will he run 3rd party in the general? Will the established Libertarian party take him? I ask as a Libertarian outsider.

You are quite a fine person, and I am very fond of you. But you are only quite a little fellow, in a wide world, after all.

Republicans will of course try to avoid that since it will definitely kill their boy Obamney. I'm not so sure it would be beneficial to the movement though.

The Libertarians took him in the 80s, and the president of the party said they would love to have Ron if he chose to run with them. However, Ron has made it relatively clear that he has no plans of running third party.

He'd be defeating his own cause by going third party. He knows, from past experience, that third party runs, in this country, are DOA and that his movement has to take place within the "two" party system. I will say that while most of us will still write-in Dr. Paul, in November, we need to make sure that we verbally support Gary Johnson if polled. He needs to get at least 15% in national polls for a position on the debate stage. Here's Johnson's recent appearance on Colbert (still dislike Colbert, btw):Edited by manofmystery - April 04 2012 at 14:19 |

Ron's not running, second choice. And you can't say Rand either. Edited by Slartibartfast - April 04 2012 at 19:51 |

Writing in Ron Paul
Also not gunna answer a hypothetical because there's no point. No more compromising, or voting to "win". From now on I'm writing in my candidate regardless. I wish I did back in 08. I liked Obama, and he was pretty close to me but ideally I liked Dennis Kucinich and Russ Feingold more, (both did run). If I didn't feel compelled to support the big guy I would've voted Kucinich for the primary and election. Edit: Paul seems sincere on not running third party and just to put any slim chance to rest, I saw somewhere he said definitively he would not run with Romney if given the opportunity. BTW we all know obviously the nomination is Romney's (no matter how it needs to happen) but I see the delegates from the April 3rd states were all uncommitted.
Doesn't that mean technically Romney hasn't won anything more? No one seems to have any f**king clue but his "count" is the same as it was earlier. Am I wrong? The media will now say he's unstoppable since especially since Wisconsin was the be all end all...but has he won any more delegates? Of course even if it's brokered some deal will be made to get him the nomination in the end. I also like how Santorum isn't even on the ballot in every state |

There are no delegates from the caucus states yet. They only include projections based on the vote breakdown. |

I thought so, since they were unbound doesn't that mean technically they are not obligated to anyone?
As you said, it's just what we estimate. |

^Good both.
Now the new "issue of the day" in idiotic FL is the outrage about a baseball coach (the Marlins one) who said he respects Fidel Castro in a recent interview. I understand many people in south FL come from Cuba and hate Castro but if you saw the level of outrage, they are asking for this guy's head now. As always in USA, when you say something people don't like, you have to apologize. He just apologized. It's so stupid. He is certainly stupid, knowing where he works, to have said that, but I love the freedom of speech that is shown when people say things the majority doesn't like.... And yes this is the first and last time in my life I will ever pay attention to any news with the word "baseball" on it...

At the same time though, it is a big deal because people will adjust their consumption patterns due to this outrage. The owners of the team need to treat this as a major event or suffer the fallout.
With that said, I agree that people care too much what other morons in the world think. I also think it's tough since he doesn't have the best grasp of English. |

True. In the end, we can all agree the guy said something incredibly stupid, not so much because of the content itself but because of the context where he said it.

My primary criticism of the minimum wage is that cost of living simply goes up, so the money workers earn buys less.
