this part of this particular Gojira song reminds me a tiny bit of In Flames - Ordinary Story (mainly the riff)

I'm not really familiar with them. I have a couple of songs off of compilations in my collection but that is about it.

They were kinda big in the underground grunge scene back in the '90s

the founder of Tad have a degree in classical music (or studied some music in universaty level or something) but you can't hear that in the music one bit
