I do know that, but there is lots of other stuff I don't like: the music (unless Peter got it from his dreams too), the concept that doesn't work (Tony himself could back me up on this one) and the cheapness of the ambient bits ('cause nobody can beat Brian Eno on this one). And just because those dreams are screwed up does not mean they are any good. That's just me.
On topic: would you agree if I said The Virgin and the Gypsy - Spectral Mornings ?

Trespass is great but Visions of Angels is lame. Gentle Giant - The Queen
Caravan - Love to Love You (And Tonight Pigs Will Fly) Steve Hackett - Star of Sirius Incredible String Band - The Minotaur Song Moody Blues - Dr. Livingstone
But most albums I love I wouldn't thange a thing. Not neccesarely these either.

Rockaria - ELO (New World Record, 1976) - not exactly prog, but art-rock. Now I'm just useless on this thread.

I can see why others like it. I it's Phil's vocal delivery here that I can't stand. Too smooth, sugary or something.

Iove ELO...this band had such a signature sound, it was unmistakeable...picture (listen to the sound of a tornado sweeping you up...what it would sound like in the background)...whirling and swirling and carrying you away in this wall of sound...the talent makes my knees buckle.....fire on high, strange magic

That's the track that really turned me on to ELO when I was a young boy... so I wouldn't leave it off the record. What about "Do Ya" ?

Na-ah. I like that one although I really don't like that lyric where he goes "Do you, do you want my love ... WOMA-AN!" A bit misogynist for my taste.

I wish I was. I wish I was holding on to Bach's "Fugue no.16", then I probably wouldn't have such a problem with the guy.

I'm a big fan of the Gabriel-era Genesis. When I listen to Foxtrot by Genesis, I always skip track 2, Time Table, because it sounds a bit plain to me. I find at least one mediocre song on all Genesis albums, but I've never found a bad Genesis song

What's wrong with bleeding in wild cream at 17? Is that even legal???
That part always got me.
So yeah, we can add that one to the list.

The piano and lyrics are beautiful but the chorus just bugs me for some reason. I like the song, but it's definitely the worst on the album and one of my least favourites from the the Gabriel Era. I wonder if they ever performed that track live?

Not really sure if anyone's touched on this one yet, but I find that Red is perfect except for Providence. I find that Providence absolutely kills the albums energy and style. I mean, until that point on the album, heavy, raw prog has been evident in every track, but Providence sounds like it would better fit on SABB. Don't know if I'm the only one with that opinion, though.

Yes they have. The evidence is within this thread.
