He was in The Pianist, which is a very good Holocaust drama film.

I know of the existence of The Pianist but haven't seen it or any other Holocaust films.

My current computer has been running three years without a reformat. But it's Mac, so that's not really hard. (I did have to buy more RAM in December but, I started with 2 GB so...)
Admittedly I haven't got a new Windows computer since this one so I can't comment on Windows 7, but even in XP I had to reformat once or twice a year, and yes, I did have an antivirus and spyware busting software, I took good care of it, but it just got slower and slower.
Now I'm stuck with a Vista on my Windows PC/music server that I use only for iTunes and internet browsing, and it can barely handle that with 4 GB RAM. But I've had it on pretty consistently for close to a year now, which is pretty good for a Windows machine.

Win 7 64 bit runs like a champ and I only use Microsoft Security Essentials, which is the best anti-virus/spyware software I have used and it's free. and RAM is cheap and accessible on PC's. Also, an i5 laptop with discreet graphics will run you less than $900 and an i7 laptop about $1200...cheaper than the mac equivalents.

Speaking of, why do ppl listen to Cannibal Corpse? Is it just to feel like a badass. Cuz its just a wall of terrible instrumentation with even more terrible lyrics.

I cried when I watched Grave of the Fireflies, every time I saw it, and sometimes I've even teared up when I just thought about it. It's the only movie I can really say that about.
I'll check out Detachment at some point, I just checked and it's not on netflix so it might be a while.

It is depressing how little can Del Potro sometimes play.

Yummm, Christina Hendricks. Tell me, Alan, how were the giant heaving bosoms in this film?
