Awesome. I found out today I got paid more than expected and can actually afford to buy some new music, and that one is at the top of the list. But I was kind of let down by Missa Atropos.
Also, Toby fans will care about this, and also probably already know:

Dammit, I already ordered that from Wierd Records (for more money :|)

Gazpacho simply write good songs that don't sound cheesy. Sounds more like long-form pop music to me.

I've never thought of Gazpacho being Neo, which I've always thought of as symphonic-light, occasionally with heavy or metal guitars. Gazpacho I thought had more in common with Porcupine Tree or Radiohead, being that their music is very dependant on the textures of the sound rather than melodies.
But I have heard a few bands in Neo that don't fit my idea of what Neo is. So I probably just don't "get" the full spectrum of Neo, likely because I've never felt inclined to explore it very deeply.

I just had someone ask if I was listening to Disney music while I was playing "Isn't it Quiet and Cold" . Pardon me while I rape myself with a spoon.

Script is only one of hundreds of Neo albums that I like. But it isn't nearly one of my favorites. And I do consider Gazpacho to be Neo too, but I am fine with Crossover as a description.

Neo prog would be cool if it were really heavy and dissonant all the time, or legitimately folky, or straight-up techno -- anything that it already isn't would be great.

Man.. i see myself loving The Ocean if they didn't have the harsh vocals so much. I can only take so much.

Perhaps that is why I don't like it, maybe it's too safe.

Most of it's way too safe. I do like Misplaced Childhood although it wasn't trying to be neo.

Of what Ive heard from Gazpacho and Marillion, I found it all boring. I liked IQ for a quick minute, but now I don't care about them, or just about any neo-prog.
There's a big difference between neo-prog and modern symphonic prog. I don't know what it is (sort of), even though it seems if you like one, you'd like the other. But I love modern symphonic prog, and can't really get into neo-prog.
