Are you talking about, like, .com, .ro, .ru, the webs of other countries? And I think Henry Plainview meant .com .

The Internet is a global system of interconnected computer networks that use the standard Internet protocol suite (TCP/IP) to serve billions of users worldwide. 95%, I think. |

Probably nowhere near as much as anyone thinks. Unless you think porn is false rather than fake, then okay, yeah, most of it.. |

Yeah, I went with 25% but I think that's rather high. As a reference source, I can't recall looking up anything that I found to be false. Maybe I'm just not going to the right places. I spend a lot of time at places where opinions are expressed. Unless someone is lying about their opinion, opinions can't be true or false. Porn by it's nature can't be true or false. The only time I encountered a falsehood in shopping was buying an Aphonse Mouzon album that had Larry Coryell listed as being on it and didn't. But I guess it you throw in spam and conspiracy theories 10% might be a fairer number. I would be curious to hear from people who have actual examples of false things they've encountered. Oops, I forgot conspiracy theory sites, but then, like godbotherers, they don't believe they are false - okay I could stretch my 5% up to 6%.

Well even referrence sites like wikipedias are to be taken cautiously.... but then again, is the Encyclopedia Britannica all that trustworthy in itself?? I mean it was first written by christians and has still many slants... What makes it more trustworthy??? because there is a paper-printed version??
Aren't just any kinds of book (scientific ones not excluded) just subjective??
Although HP's question is vague, it's still a fairly interesting debate, but impossible to evaluate, because of our objective/subjective criterias...

It depends a lot on what you consider false.
Is a manipulated picture false, if yes, how do you define real pictures, no degitals, no filters ? You could use this logic at video, music. is a cut sentence from a person real ?. If you tell a story in a very subjective angle, fitting you interest, is it then real ? How about TV, is it real , X-factor, Big Brother ? Is a frosen cemical pizza real ? Is american Vodka real vodka ? If you answer no to most of these questions, most of the internet will be false, not due to a false internet, but due to a false world |

0%. Everything is true. It might come from deeper within, from darker corners of minds and personalities, but everything is true.
Except Henry's ponies of course. But the obsession is true.

I'm intrigued. In what way is porn fake? You mean they aren't really in love?
