No one can blame you for that, though if the talkey people on TV are right, supposedly he has a huge lead in the polls. Like 20%  so even with error, unexpected turnout yadda yadda seems like he will winCry

I know it's his home state but how is he popular at all by this point?

Guess it shows how unpopular Romney really is. Oh and of course Santorum is thereLOL

If slarti wants republican chaos he should vote for Newt.  I'm just hoping for some good news today out of Alaska, North Dakota, and/or Idaho but I don't have a lot of faith in this process considering how things have gone so far.

Look I'm just commenting on politics in my area.  You might find it interesting you obviously don't.

Yeah, I was going to go out on a limb and predict that one.

Santorum's problem was not that the wasn't backwards enough but that he was from the north.

It is the end of the blue law no alcohol sales on Sunday.  I'll drink a toast to that and bad things religious types predicted will now befall my area.

But back to the GOP race.  Are the social issues a winning thing for them or do they need gas prices to get really bad?

haha he may be too much of a Yank, but not full out Northeast b*****d like those damn Bostonians....which as Santorum so kindly pointed out "...it is no surprise that Boston, a seat of academic, political and cultural liberalism in America, lies at the center of the storm"

In regards to the Catholic Priest scandal.
Gotta give the guy credit: Gays, Liberals, Bostonians all offended in one smooth sentence. That takes skill.

The one word that best describes Gingrich is loathsome.

Gingrich Gets Georgia, Which Still Thinks That It Is Part of the Confederacy (Except for Atlanta); and Romney Gets Virginia, Where He Was Only on the Ballot Against Ron Paul

What do you dislike here Rob? The constant mention of wealth as a factor against people? Or the blatant stupidity of Ann Romney?

One of those lame and lazy headlines meant to distort her intent.  She's saying their money is not what defines them, rather her family and relationships are.  Had either of the Obamas made a similar statement in one of their groupie press worship interviews with the likes of a Dianne Sawyer,  the comment would be spun as something entirely positive.

Bad journalism to be sure, but also a very un-savvy statement by Mrs. Romney. Both she and Mitt need to say "Yes we are extremely priveleged and with that comes great responsibility. I won't pretend I understand what it is like to live paycheck to paycheck but I can use these resources that we have to do good."

Defang the criticism by admitting the truth. Imagine that.
You are quite a fine person, and I am very fond of you. But you are only quite a little fellow, in a wide world, after all.

Not just bad journalism, but biased journalism.  What's amazing is that they don't even attempt to disguise their preference/allegiance anymore.

Bad journalism. And also an out-of-touch prospective first lady that doesn't understand that in this day and age saying "no we're not really rich" when you are really evidently rich is not smart politics..

Oh they would never ask that to Obama's first lady of course, for many reasons.

I thought I was taking an interest and agreeing with you about the idiocy of the ban. I guess I wasn't?

Depends on if you could even tell if it was Obama in the interview with all the soft focus...

I always had this feeling Ron looked vaguely familiar but I couldn't quite put my finger on it:

We shall see but looks like Santorum (with not much surprise) has won the AL and MS primaries.
More importantly the anti Romney vote is strong.

Have to wonder what if Santorum can keep up his strength? Especially if Newt decided to bow out and throw his support to Rick. Anyone think there's a realistic chance of a broken convention? They seem to be trying.
I thought the GOP would be unified in trying to beat Obama but they seem set on beating Romney!

If a broken convention was to occur, what may result? Eventually they cave and support the most electable? Maybe Ron Paul somehow sneaks through the winner? Everyone holds and creates total chaos?

Well the Obamas also have a lot less money than her (although they are obviously also wealthy).

It's pretty embarrassing for Mittens that he couldn't even manage 60% in my state. Granted, he can blame the low turnout and the relative enthusiasm of Ron Paul supporters, but still. We'll see how he does going forward, but I really don't see Santorum being able to derail this train. And Newt is a joke.
