I used to like Opeth but I got very bored of them, but "The Drapery Falls" is a masterpiece.

I used to be able to play that whole song.

Deliverance, the song, is really good too.

Actually, the only album I ever feel like listening to straight through, besides Heritage, is Ghost Reveries. Maybe because of the bigger keyboard presence.

I feel like I'm spamming PA with Dream Theater related posts.

I'd like Opeth more if they had less proggy bits, their acoustic/folky parts bore me to death.

I prefer Opeth as a heavy band rather than a proggy band. Their soft/loud dynamic is typically very predictable and boring.

That's why I like Heritage so much. It's not predictable at all by their standards.

I always considered their 'proggy' moments were when they were being heavy, and the acoustic parts were always their folk side, and a little Camel influence.
