Nope. I don't even know if Paul would win but he'd be the only with any real chance.

Romney is just to bleh and not very popular with the GOP.
Gingrich lolno
Santorum o f**k no

Was gunna give reasons but eh who cares amirite?

It seems the current GOP candidates exist only to be the punchline of jokes, which is upsetting. And the fact that they actually have supporters is unsettling to me as a citizen of this country. I'd be so insulted if any of them were elected.

It's pretty sad. The real cynics would point out deep down and behind closed doors...the power doesn't really care if Obama or (insert GOPer) wins since they are more or less the same, at least where it counts.

I hear ya dude. I at least get Romney, I don't like him but he's normal and pretty "safe" I am jaw on the floor that people actually like Santorum (or Gingrich haha).

Gingrich's Moon colony, Santorum's anti- satanic birth control, Mitt Romney wears magic Mormon underwear.

I wanna say the Mormon thing isn't that a big of deal (and all reality it's not as bad as the jokes) but to say no one cares is a joke. No doubt plenty o Americans could never think of him solely because he's a Mormon.

He's just bland a flip flopper. Ya know, I am 100% pro choice, then later no j/k I am deff pro life.
That's of course a sensitive issue, people don't like. They want to know "for 20 years (x) has been firmly pro life" and honestly I get that. A lot of Republicans I've met just have a natural distrust of any from the Northeast already.

So yeah, I figure he'd win the "red" states but due to apathy/dislike Bama would take the rest. Unless you really suck everyone will win their core of support but to get "new" states you need something, and Romney dont have it.

Also I hear he'd make it mandatory to have 7 wives :O

I personally don't have a problem with any religion, but magic underwear is inherently funny. I honestly find it weird that religion even matters anymore.

Me neither, but many do! Yeah it'd be nice if "to each their own (and dont bug me with it)" was adhered to with the topic of religion.

I'm not opposed to his magical underwear  but I am opposed to his name.
It's actually Willard and that's a sweet ass name but he goes by Mitt.
If I was head of Iran, and Mitt came to me asking to stop building nukes, I could never take him seriously with a name like Mitt! Then probably nuke America. Is that what we want????

Hey, I'd totally vote Applejack for president. She's the element of honesty and you can't go wrong with that.

Nope but the party establishment has decided that "anyone but Paul" is a far more important goal than the "anyone but Obama" smokescreen they invented in the media so that dronelike voters will come out and support the unelectable Mr. Electable.  It's looking more an more likely to me that Santorum has been just a useful idiot the party and their media alleys (they can go back to "hating" each other after the Paul threat passes) has used to splinter the vote in such a way to keep Paul from winning states.  Everyone knows that the deranged Senator Frothy would lose by double-digits and they have from the start.  Whether it was planned or not his candidacy has assured that a legitimate two-man race wouldn't take place and that only Romney could win.

It's too early to say. Romney might have a chance. Santorum and Gingrich would lose embarrassingly. A lot can happen between now and election day. If the economy tanks more or a foreign entanglement goes wrong, the blowback could result in any marginally competent idiot overthrowing the incumbent. I would say no though. I don't think Romney has a strong chance in our current climate.

OK, so as a democrat who's the best person vote for in my state's primary to take it away from Gingrich?  I want to see him lose Georgia really really badly. LOL

Oh lookey, Sunday alcohol sales are on the ballot along with the presidential primary and that's it.

While it's not over (lots of campaigning, votes, money to be spent, etc.) its a foregone conclusion that Romney will get the nomination.

Vote out of concience man... Not out of "who will defeat Gingrich"... Besides, probably anyone will defeat him anyway...

Or vote out of your need for Sunday alcohol at least

Incan't believe there are still places where people are told when they can or can't sell goods like alcohol...

You should probably vote with your conscience rather than as a political puppet if you're going to waste your time voting at all.

I've been discussing this with my wife and I think we'll just get a democrat ballot and vote for Obama and Sunday sales.  Romney is running a distant second to Newt so voting for him or Paul will have little or no effect.  The Sunday thing will pass.  All of the Sunday sales initiatives have passed or will so we could sit on our butts and it wouldn't matter.  What's really funny is that the county said it saved money by not putting the alcohol thing on the ballot in the last vote, which was just a one issue school tax vote.  It makes no sense.  If you wanted to save money it would have made more sense to hold off the SPLOST and include it on this round.  What basically happened is that jurisdictions that allowed Sunday sales saw a temporary boost in tax revenues, but on balance it was just due to people buying stuff on Sunday from places that could sell it that would have bought it other days of the week from other places.  People that supported Sunday prohibition said that when you lifted the ban people would be buying and using more.  It didn't happen.  I just find the whole situation amusing.

^ Jesus Christ you mean a prohibition of goods had the same affect that every prohibition of every good ever in the history of the world has had!
