I'd say Countdown instead

I can't. I actually like it rather a lot.

Yellow submarine from revolver

I know the Beatles were well into their novelty tracks and that its iconic of the Beatles psychedelic stuff but I don't think I've ever listened to that album without skipping it.
Just bores me i guess

I actually really like the Cha Chas from "Sound Chaser" too. It injects just enough weirdness into what was already a very weird track. I almost feel as if it's tongue-in-cheek, jokingly throwing in something "catchy" at the end to play with expectations. There are plenty of simple pop songs where "cha cha cha" would not sound out of place at all, so the fact that they precede it with 7 minutes of music that sounds like space aliens makes it really come out of nowhere (in a good way).

Eh, "Cygnus X-1" was worse.

Back On Topic:

"Alan's Psychedelic Breakfast" from Pink Floyd's Atom Heart Mother. Not that bad, but I wish they closed with "Embryo" instead.

"More Of That Jazz" From Queen's Jazz. Anticlimactic compared to "Don't Stop Me Now".  Oddly enough, I though "Fun It" was alright.

I agree. Killer (and Theme 1) were the tracks that got me into VDGG, and I still love them both.

I think it's ok. It's not a track I would skip.

I think some of you here are being too severe, songs like More Fool Me, Chemistry, Battle Of Epping Forest, Cans And Brahms, Have A Cigar, All In A Mouse's Night, Your Own Special Way etc may not be masterpieces, but saying that they ruin the album they are in is a bit too far.

Other of the mentioned songs such as The Return Of The Giant Hogweed, Get'Em Out By Friday, Wot Gorilla? or VDGG's Killer simply leave me perplex since I find them outstanding, but ok I guess that's a matter of taste...

An example of song I can surely agree with is Fun It in Queen's Jazz (personally I find More Of That Jazz much more decent even if surely no masterpiece either).

Please Mr Postman on With The Beatles. That song just makes me gag.

Jamaica Jerk-Off on Goodbye Yellow Brick Road. For similar reasons.

Prelude: Song of the Gulls on Islands. Fripp was a weak composer back then, particularly outside of rock music. '73 is a different story.

Hats Off to Roy Harper on Led Zeppelin III is another obvious one. Ugh.

If Everyone Was Listening on Crime of the Century. Not bad, but dull, and on an album with seven perfect songs.

Selling England by the Pound is an average album at best.

No, I think Roy's singing was an improvement actually. I've heard demos where Roger sings it, not as dynamic at all. Not to mention the live performances where Waters is very much struggling to get it right, but doesn't really.

Anybody a fan of Dog's Life from Octopus? I've never been a big fan of the song and Phil's vocals are a little irritating to be quite honest. I don't know, it sort of spoils the album for me along with A Cry For Everyone. I love the instrumental prowess of that song, but I don't really like the verses and choruses

CSN&Y's 'Almost Cut My Hair' from Deja Vu is both good and funny; certainly didn't ruin one of the finest albums of the early 70s.

Ok, The Lamb may be the best album ever, but the Waiting  Room just sucks. I like improv or jam recordings, but this track is just boring.

I like it.......but I would guess some don't since it may be the begining of the "pop" Collins led Genesis phase.......Don't believe them, its all good.
