Are You Ready Eddy .. yeah take maybe the most influential album of Prog's peak years and just throw a little horse crap on it at the end there, just to round things out | Funny isn't it, they always threw in a little sh*t, as if to say we're not really great musicians making the most complex rock music on the planet, we're just like the rest. I never understood that. | and I like their humor, and I like Benny because it's a decent little tune .. but Eddy just bites (Keith can't swing anyway so he shouldn't try)

Ah Benny's okay. So is Jeremy. Nutrocker not so much. The Sheriff. Sheesh, Emerson was channeling a piano player in an Old West saloon. Mebbe hook him up with Taupin and they can rock with that honky tonk piano while the Gibson Girls dance, and the hookers ply their trade, and real men drink whiskey just prior to killing one another out on a dusty Western street. And if that doesn't work go back to Meade Lux Lewis and some more honky tonk piano, 'cept then you're playing in a whore house, where some shady customer might just take exception to your technique. I completely understand his love for that stuff. It's too bad he had no ability to play it, except in emulation.

Can you tell me where we're headin'?
Lincoln County Road or Armageddon.

- More Fool Me - SEBTP - Genesis
- Brethalizer - Criminal Record - Rick Wakeman
- Your Own Special Way - Wind & Wuthering - Genesis
The infamous Cha Cha Cha Cha Cha almost ruined Sound Chaser but the rest of the material of Relayer is so good that allowed this cheesy passage do more harm.

This is a good one. I love Sound Chaser and Relayer to death (my favourite Yes album), but that section is kinda odd to me.

that and Moonchild as they are so long
Battle Of Epping Forest -too much larking around and feels vacant of any great musical content for such a long peice. Perhaps it worked as a live track?

Now there's a track I never really liked. But the album isn't otherwise perfect and it didn't ruin the album.

Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...

Good Pop song if you like Pop, but no prog influences in it.

I fully agree, but the other songs on this album are far better.

Well, I like: - Moonchild (unabriged version
) - Ballad Of The Decomposing Man
- Cans & Brahms
For the rest: musically perfect albums (I mean ITCOTCK, SM and F)
I simply dislike - Benny The Bouncer
- The "Cha cha cha" part on Sound Chaser
For the rest, perfect Yes and perfect ELP albums

More Fool Me was definitely my first thought.
Not exactly a great album without it, but Disco Queen is the sinlge worst piece of rubbish Pain of Salvation have ever recorded.
And With Her Came the Birds stops Cult of Luna's Somewhere Along the Highway from reaching masterpiece status for me as well.

Oh no... i thought someone would mention this, since i read some reviews stating the same. I honestly think this is one of the greatest improvisational songs ever, what a bass!!! all the band seems to have the exact idea of what the song is all about. I even like those 4 minutes silence of jiggling sounds between each other, what a great atmosphere! When i discovered it was taken from a concert ,it maid me love KC even more. But that's only me.

Although I cannot stand More Fool Me (Genesis really should have heard alarm bells with that one), I have to agree I find Battle Of Epping Forest weak compared to the rest of the album & not a particularly good piece, anyway.
In my (humble & soon to be berated) opinion, they tried to write another character led story song in the vein of Harold The Barrel, Get Em Out By Friday etc, but to me it just didn't gel at all; it was almost (but not quite) as bad as when Collins tried it with 'Robbery Assault & Battery'
