Great songwriter who disappeared up his not inconsiderable backside years ago. Regardless, Reg has left behind a treasure trove of great albums. (Voted for Goodbye Yellow Brick Road)

Live Take Me To The Pilot. Pure gospel. Don't know what's with that URL but it goes to the right song...

Can you tell me where we're headin'?

"Madman" is like a drug for me ( whereas I still have difficulties with "Captain Fantastic" and can't stand "Blue Moves" as a whole ).

I have everything from Elton John to Blue Moves...Except for Caribou and Rock of the Westies... I don't care about anything post Blue Moves. My husband and I are going to go thru our Elton John collection in an Eight- album tournament with a loser bracket. It may take a few weekends, but we will get back to you good people with our ratings. We will use your Poll to seed our tournament... 1 seed vs 8 seed...2 seed vs 7 seed...And so on. As I write this post it would appear that Goodbye Yellow Brick Road and Madman Across the Water are the number 1 and 2 seeds respectively.

^ Seeds ?? Anyway, can't beat the live performance of 11/17/70 as a three-piece (drums, bass, piano), but from the poll, Captain Fantastic is the one I like most. Haven't heard a few very early ones though (Tumbleweed, Madman, Empty Sky....). Don't Shoot Me features some great tracks. I'm not a big fan of his although I have respect for the guy.
