Would have been watching Futurama if Comedy Central hadn't lied about it and put on Chapelle's Show instead...I like Chapelle too, but not in place of Futurama!

Is there another new season of Futurama?
I got my wife season 6 (7?) for Christmas, I might convince her we should go watch an episode.

No new episodes, no...probably would have been re-runs of episodes I have on DVD anyway, but still.

I've been ploughing through season 2 of Louie. I'd previously dismissed Louis CK as a stand-up off the back of a few youtube clips, which is an awful thing to do to any performer, but sometimes you make snap judgements and stick with them for better or worse. On this occasion it was definitely for worse though, because it's taken me this long to discover one of the best damn TV shows I've seen in years.

yeah season one was excellent, funny but more innovative, haven't caught season two yet-- he really is disgusting but at least he knows it

Season two is just as good, if not better so be sure to check it out eventually! And yeah, that kind of crude, scatalogical humour can be embarrassing in the wrong hands, but he elevates it to an art form. Oh, and Ian - Pointless is the only show that makes me regret not having a working TV connection. I love the format and breezy humour of it, but it's one of those "oh good, this is on" shows. Actively choosing to watch it on iPlayer makes me uncomfortably aware of just how much I'm wasting my life.

^And that is the final score. Scotland had their chances. They should have won.

I don't have a TV set now. And I don't miss it much to be honest.

Being totally nuts for British tv me and my wife have assembled quite a large collection of dvd sets of the older, classic British series. Now we are starting to look into some recent stuff.Green Wing is very good(recommended to us by Ian).Do you guys like the show Outnumbered? |
Have you checked out The Thick of It, Jody? Personally, I think that's the finest sitcom to come from these shores in a while, but it's not to everyone's tastes. Firstly, it's got some very strong language (always used very creatively and to great comic effect, mind you) and because it's set in the world of British politics it might seem a bit of an alien setting at first. It's created by Armando Iannucci, one of the driving forces behind the likes of The Day Today and Alan Partridge, so the quality is naturally very high indeed.

I loved The Thick of It. Very recommended. I've been on a bit of a Steve Coogan high lately as well, with Alan Partridge, Saxondale and The Trip all living up to or surpassing expectations. Can't believe I've missed out on that.

My wife really digs the show. It's growing on me.
We have series 1 & 2,but series 3 has proved a little hard to find on dvd.I know the first 5 series(out of 10)have been released on dvd.

Sure as hell ain't the stuporbowl. I am so not a sports guy. My wife isn't watching either because there isn't a team involved that she cares about.
