Does anyone have any progressive rock jokes that they have created or heard?
I heard this one and was wondering if anyone had any more:
"How many progressive rock artists does it take to screw in a lightbulb"
"7/4"

- If the Dark Side of the Moon was really dark, how am I supposed to "see you on the dark side of the moon"?
- You can't. That's why I can only Wish You Were Here.

(make any sense to you? It's quite deep.)

Sure, if by "deep" you mean "illiterate"

How many prog fans does it take to be embarrassing?
Just one.

disclaimer: this joke doesn't refer to anybody in particular, just the whole lot o' you sad sacks

Another user posted, so I can present more jokes without looking like a show stealer.

- Which album is better:
Pain of Sanity - Remedy Lame
or
Edge of Salvation - Crim Kingson Close to the Edge of Salvation?

- Crim Kingson is better, but none of them compares to the magnificent double album of
Agalland - The Mabool / Orphaned Loch - Mantle: The Story of the Great Cold Death of the Earth

I know this is allegedly a joke but I have noticed before that you seem to have a problem with us older members.

Exactly, that's why he didn't like my Dark Side joke. I'm an old member here.

The old and decrepit have clearly failed to monopolise 'sad sacks' just yet

You are right. Somehow I construed he was having a go at us oldsters but reading it again he doesn't mention age at all. I musdt have surmised that sad sacks meant something it didn't. Apologies all around.

EDIT

I find that it is US slang which is why I didn't know the term. My mistake.

The Wyatt joke was so bad it's the best one so far.  Shame on you.

How about?

Geoffrey Downes, Steve Howe, Carl Palmer, and John Wetton form a band.

You can do better than that.  How about

Two Steves eat some Bacon and Mover into a Phil.

Knock knock, who's there?  Two great Steve guitarists in a pop band.
