Innovative and groundbreaking, yes.  Prog as in Prog Rock, no.  Worth listening to?  Absolutely.  For more than an hour?  Maybe.  For less than an hour?  Sure.

In my mind, I categorize Steve Reich as repetitive to the point of me being unable to hear his music for more than an hour.
 
What do you folks think?

I like Different Trains though.

He's is definitely innovative and very artistic in music. But he is not a Rock artist.
