I've not been to Asheville but I have a (possibly dead) friend who's there. He's said it's a great place with lots of fantastic beer and an awesome pizza parlor/ bar/ movie theater.

What do you guys consider "tweedly" jazz fusion? Because I only know of 2 kinds of fusion, good and mediocre/bad. Some is more 'artsy', some more funky, and some more rockin' I guess; but even then, you can have lots of noodly solos at any point.

This still makes no sense to me. I know plenty of jazz artists that went to Berklee and they all sound different.
