They can't help it when the media declares OMG IT'S OVER when a candidate wins in those places.  I just hate the importance placed on them just because they go first.  I would totally support having a national primary day.

How does 150,000 people in Iowa have so much influence? Ridiculous.

It's ironic that in some states (the Red states) they are making it harder to vote, especially for the lower income but the US raves about other voting discrepancies in other countries. Soon it will be people with an income over $250,000 that will be only eligible to vote.

That's a stretch.  Do you think everyone with a US driver's license is making over $250?
Pretty easy to get a license or ID, which most people need for other stuff anyway.  Showing an ID seems pretty common sense to most people.  Except those who think non-citizens should be able to vote.  If you do, fine, but the $250 thing is pretty silly.

That was a bad exaggeration but there are a lot of poor people who don't have cars.  So you don't have a car but you have to go out and buy a photo ID.  It's a poll tax plain and simple.

Are these folks actually able to go through life, including perhaps accessing Govt benefits, without an ID?  At some point in life, don't we all have to show ID?

I think it's reasonable to require people to have an ID of some sort, and if they can't afford it, I'd be willing to provide it for free to them.

It's one thing to require some kind of ID, but it's another thing to make terrible, muddled laws that culminate in the disenfranchisement of demographics who tend to vote for one party.

I seem to recall the state of Georgia having a van that went around to rural areas but the state government didn't fully fund it.

Which brings me around to a point.  Voter ID laws, fine.  If the state is going to impose it then the state should bear the responsibility of funding it, no?

It looks cute, but I wonder how much extra cash Ron Paul's team got just because they did this:

Being a Pennsylvanian I can say comfortably the Rick Santorum is one of the sh*ttiest pieces of sh*t that ever floated around in the Washington DC toilet bowl.  If the evangelicals break for him at the caucus they will be destroying this country once and for all for their desire to see gays and muslims strung up in the streets.  That's been Santorum's public platform and has been since we kicked him the f**k out of PA.

Relax MoM, he's got no legs.  He'll do well there but he won't get much further. The game is almost over and Mitt's the boy.

Unless Ron wants to run third party and personally elect Obama.

It doesn't matter whether he runs third party or not his supporters are not going to break for Romney.  I've been saying this for a long time: Mitt Romney cannot beat Barry.
