Ho Ho Ho - I´m just practising for my performance at my work place come Friday. Dressing up as Santa and handing out sweets to the kids. Maybe they´ll let me play Il Balletto di Bronzo, if I´m a good boy?
And a merry Christmas to all you RPI afficionados out there - it´s been a pleasure reading this thread all year Pierre: I hope you don´t end up on the dinner plate somewhere - I am very fond of duck recipes myself, but this year I´ll look at the bird in a completely different fashion |

A little xmas eve present to the Den....this album is often overlooked in "fave lists" and yet it has some very rich moments.....this song builds nicely until my favorite part where the female vocals kick in. As I recall this was a family affair with some brothers, and their young sister handled the vox. Enjoy

^ Aah nice one, when I read your mention of brothers and a sister I guessed this would be Apoteosi. And thanks for the Spettri review Jim.
Peace and Merry Christmas to all our good friends here in the den!

Listening to Astrolabio by Garybaldi right now. Man I love this record with it´s spacy sound and prolonged freaky guitar solos - and seeing as I for the first time in over a decade have no party to attend to and would rather spend my time listening to music than watch this years Danish musical events on the telly, I´ll be doing what I love the most: enjoying my record collection.
I´ve been trying to review some albums from different genres lately, but I feel some RPI´s coming up in the near future. This one could be a candidate - that´s for sure! Anyways, I´d just like to wish all you people in our little fraction of internet Italy some goosebumps inducing musical encounters, undying love, beautiful sunsets and tailwind on your bicycles in the opening year Be safe and be with someone you love. Happy New Year people! |

HAPPY NEW YEAR, David, Jim and Everyone. I'm still alive ! Thinking about last year, I feel deeply moved. RPI changed me. It changed my taste. What a music lover should ask for more !? |

MAURO PELOSI (1977) third album, far from the folk mood of his first work. The following song is a good example of his new style. The Coda at 3,29 is fantastic. |

Well that band called HERO just went on my "to get" list. Thanks Jim ! That track did sound like it could have come out of early seventies Germany instead of Italy. Listening to some MAXOPHONE right now and loving every minute of it.

Hero is most worthy.
I have it on some sort of early VINYL reissue.

John, the band actually moved to Germany and were living there when they recorded it. It's a very bizarre album, has a bit of a Sab vibe in certain tracks, I think you'll enjoy it.

Ahhh so that's why it was only originally released in Germany.I thought maybe it was because of the style but i still thought that was strange. Not anymore.

ALESSANDRO DE LUCCHIDisgraphy:P- Alessandro De Lucchi (ADL - 1978) This keyboardist from Varese privately released a solo album in 1978 with strong influences from the German cosmic music. The album can be a bit boring due to its non-professional sound quality and production. |
