yeah i notice some spacy rock themes like minimalistic parts and spacy sections but they also have heavy guitars like really heavy shred guitar and almoust metal in parts

Hawkwind are pretty heavy but also definitely space rock.

Well, I've heard a lot of bands that are considered psych that I would consider heavy prog. I'm no expert on either genre though. I'm still kind of sad I didn't get picked for that prog electronic team position :(

Beardfish, The Tangent, but I think you know those bands already. Elton John has a couple of 70s albums that are very much prog, and of course are keyboard-led. |
