I'd like to buy comfortable full-size headphones with a good quality. I'm gonna use them with laptop and a mobile phone. The price range is ~up to 150€.

I'm a big fan of Grados... I have a pair of SR80i's (which are some of their cheaper cans) and they're excellent... especially for the price (100 us dollars)
These are around 150 euros (~200 dollars)

Consumer Reports did an analysis of several form shove it in your ear, to over the ear, to closed in. They recommended a set of Grados that I am mostly happy with from a sound quality and comfort standpoint. The right phone slipped out of its mounting and has to be stuck back in to use. Sound quality and comfort are really good but if you want to keep out outside noise and keep your sound in go a model that seals to your ears. Avoid anything Bose as they have a reputation of being over priced. Edited by Slartibartfast - December 25 2011 at 14:35 |

Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...

Its so tough buying sound equipment online.......without the ability to sound test them your only option is customer testimony or audio magazine reviews. Tough call unless you can find someone who owns a pair

Yeah, I'd definitely recommend trying some cans if possible.

I have Bose QC 15 (got them as a gift, didn't pick myself), they are very comfortable and sound great (to me, but I'm no audiophile). The only problem is that they completely cover my ears with airtight pillows, which makes them (ears) warm and itchy too quickly. I can't sit through more than one album without taking a break. Also I'm completely deaf to my surroundings when listening, but that's not a bad thing.

Note he is from Slovakia. While Slovakia, the same as Czech Republic, isn't primitive country by any chance, we simply don't have all the advantages that for example people from UK/USA are used to. It is very difficult to find a good shop that allows customer to test new cans, even in a big cit\y like my Pilsen. And what if I / he lived in a small village, then it would be even worse. Because every time I ask somewhere for a guide what cans to buy, I get such solutions, that I have to try them. But it's impossible for me to follow this hint, because I (can speak for myself) don't have the choice. Then user reviews are the thing that matters ... which is how I bought my cans. Perfect sound, but I didn't account one important element - their crafting quality was very bad (there was one joint holding the arch to the cans itself and it was a very small plastic joint, so breaking was eminent. You know what the company said to the shop through which I bought them/sent them back ? That it's my fault, that they broke. Of course it is, but the point is that it was SUPER easy to break them and they knew it. I did some makeshift repairs to the arch and still use them. But beware - crafting quality can be a concern too.. I did the mistake once, concentrated only on reading about sound quality. |

There's a point where "avant-garde" and "experimental" becomes "terrible" and "pointless,"

I think I can wear my Sennheiser HD 280 pros for a good few hours. Great all round headphones.

The AKG K 271 MK II headphones look really good. I watched a few youtube reviews and they seem very comfortable plus the sound should be great as well. What do you think?

I think I'll go with
AKG K 271 MK II but still considering whether I should buy an amp as well. I was told it's not necessary if I listen music on a laptop.
