Well there's Opeth, Transatlantic, Neal Morse, Porcupine Tree, Steven Wilson, Big Big Train, The Mars Volta, Cynic, Dream Theater, Pain of Salvation, and many others including underground acts...

If you are looking for bands that show a strong Yes influence, I would recommend Glass Hammer, The Flower Kings, Magic Pie, Cast, and Moon Safari.  For sure, there are others, but these are the ones that immediately come to mind.
The world of sound is certainly capable of infinite variety and, were our sense developed, of infinite extensions. -- George Santayana, "The Sense of Beauty"

If you enjoy Yes, I'd suggest Wobbler, Glass Hammer, perhaps Brighteye Brison, etc.
Hope these suggestions help!

Grace and peace,

I actually welcome this thread because in the course of the last year I have become quite disillusioned concerrning any music that has been presented as 'new', in that it wasn't.

Honestly, to me every new release I've listened to is starting to seem the same, at least the same within fouror five genre frameworks.

One very welcome exception though, although they're not new on the scene (far from it), but for me absolutely refreshing and enjoyable: The Cardiacs.

In a very short time they've shot to my group of favourite artists.I you're looking for something new, I'd suggest starting there and then moving on to offshoots and similars. They've singel-handedly brought back what I'd thought I'd not see for a long time, if at all:  originality and tremendous listenability.

Hope Tim Smith recovers soon!
