il volo - essere o non essere is mostly instrumental, with some rare backing vocals.

their first album, il volo - il volo: it has italian lyrics.

try PFM - photos of ghost + chocolate kings + jet lag

try banco (1975)

try RDM - contamination

try Osanna - landscape of life.

Looking for 70s Italian prog with english vocals or
instrumental only. PFMs "The world became the
world" is a classic example of almost good
enough(one track towards the end is excellent" Is my
face on straight". This albums title exemplifies the
problem "stumbling to speak acceptable english".
The italian style is great and they have great
musicians with dexterity in jazz influenced
symphonic rock. The problem I have is the lyrics get
in the way, recognizing the emotional delivery but its
a drawback that the germans overcame with
excluding most vocals.
Focus did a great job by using nonsensical lyrics,
breaking the dutch language barrier for the english
speaking audience. I tried Banco's english release
and their soundtracks
also.
The only release I have found that I think is stellar is
Il Volo's - Essere, no essere.
Could someone suggest something I missed, either
with sparse italian chanting or background vocals,
sparse english or instrumental only classics.
If it is to jazz fusion and complex time changes (avant
garde) and disjointed I lose interest also, needs
flow, mystical, and some funk or beat.
