Perhaps a weirder mix than usual, for instance taking on board both Indonesian and Brazilian blues. Following a slow read through "Beyond & Before" 's chapter on 'post prog', we sample A. R. Kane and Talk Talk - plus one those authors missed, in the form of Random Hold. In addition some "pop prog". And amongst the new releases: Jon Lord's Blues Project, Cosmograf and more of Jake Hertzog.

The last show before Christmas and four week break  from live broadacsts - but the repeats will be up. However, I am avoiding round-ups of the year/year's best albums etc, since I'm saving until the end of our academic year in late May 2012.

So this Thursday Nils Cline comes up a number of times, with his SIngers and Wilco. While trying to avoid guitar-overkill with the jazzy bits, however.... I give you Chris Poland, Jeff Beck, David Torn (three times) (and did I mention Nels Cline...?). And then there is the Bramhall family.............. Plus a couple of Zappa tributes

Plus (I hope) a little surprise from Panzerballett being played very early in the show.

And if you are around from ~7.15pm tomorrow night I hope to be playing on our sustain service (same link as below), the second cd of the Quadrophenia promos, through to 8pm GMT.
