It would be great to see Senna finally have a good ride, I was shocked it never really happened. Figured people would be jumping to put Senna in F1.
Especially for today, 27 is so late to start a career!

Can I punch his smug face?  Please.  May I?

I'm not a violent man though.  I'll just have to pretend to do it.

It seems Barrichello maybe retiring.  So does that mean Maldonado is keeping his drive?  He's been dire all season.  I realise both drivers have been (mostly to do with the car, I guess) but Barrichello has been better than Maldonado.

I notice Schumacher didn't bother with a Q3 again.  He keeps doing that.  It saves him a set of tires though.  However, he just wasn't as quick as Rosberg this weekend.

I'm really excited about him too. I believe that not far in the future he'll be a superb  driver.

Rubino!!
It was a good, lengthy, (very lengthy) career. He even made the glorious 300 race mark! Time to hang it up.

It would be awesome for Senna to have a good ride. Anyone have any idea why he didn't make it up sooner? It can't be me only that's surprised with his name no one boosted him up to the top. Finished 2nd in GP2 so not like the speed isn't there.
Can't wait for the race, hope it's a great finale to an exciting, albeit predictable, season!

After Ayrton died his family didnt want him racing, but they realised they couldnt keep him from it. Unfortunately he missed out on karting which meant he had to do a lot of learning regarding race craft in race cars (bear in mind that those that have come up through karting would have done over 1000 races before they ever sit in a car). Honda were considering him to replace Barichello for the 09 season, and in testing he had proved fast and his tech feedback is said to be superb, but then Honda pulled out and Brawn came about very close to the start of the season so they had to go with Barichello for his experience just to make up for any potential problems that a rookie couldnt have dealt.

He had a year in LMP's with ORECA, then was at HRT last year and because of the complete and total lack of spares he had to drive really carefully so that was a wast of time more than anything else.

I hope he gets a full ride next year as I think he's a really good driver.

Andy, was Bruno the boy seen on the boat with Ayrton in the movie Senna?

Just curious.

Hm
Yeah just blew my mind given his name and apparent speed, that it took so long. Even with a late start...
Hell, some of these kids are plucked out of nowhere it feels like and I've heard Bruno's name around for years, since 2007 that I personally recall!

Title locked up but lots of good fights long way down the order. The field today is something else, and would be cool if Webber could squeeze out one win for the year. Maybe Massa at his home track to save some pride, or in the uber surprise....RUBINO WINS A SHOCKER!
But I wont hold my breath for that one.

Yes, Rubens all the way. Even though he's the 12th on the starting grid, I'm sure he'll win this race.

Possible.
Though the pace of his car is obviously the much more damning factorLOL

He'll just have to be happy with #2Tongue
Though really, his 2004 season would have easily been a championship in a normal situation, too bad his teammate was the unnatural Schumi. Will miss him, assuming this is it for Rubens.

Also forgot about Hami, he has own lil storyline for winning as well. I'm sure him and Jenson are friends and all that, but only natural to want to win and IMO get #4 over Buttons 3...

Well, took a mechanical issue but a win is a win. Congrats to Webber! Finally getting that first win of the season.
Given the issue he had, impressive drive from Vettel, who seemed to have an excited tone. Maybe because there was a real challenge finallyLOL

Anyway, another good season. Congrats again to Vettel for a dominant championship.

Here's to next year

Apparantely there was vertually no oil left in his 'box after the race, the team are amazed Vettel got to the finish.

Unfortunate race for Senna, the penalty was a bit harsh but he lost 4th gear and that really sunk him.

Yes, that was a champions drive from Vettel.
Like Schumacher had, and Senna back in 91 (well before my time of course, at least I caught Schumi's drive on an old repeat)

And congrats again to WebberSmile

For another season Massa has proven to be the weakest of the top 6, Nico Rosberg has proven himself, technically, as "the best of the rest" and Schumi had another year right in the middle (well upper middle). Obviously the car is the reason why but he has been consistently outpaced by Nico.
lots to look forward to from the upcoming drivers.
Petrov, Kam, Di Resta, Perez.
The hopefully successful return of Kubica

You believe he actually had a gearbox issue?

Pfft.

It was Webber's race from the beginning.

Anyhow, I'd like to see Sutil have a drive next season.  I have no idea where it'd be.  I don't think he's staying at Force India though.

I'd also like to see Kovaleinen given a better drive but having said that, if Caterham have a decent car next year, who knows?

It's bye-bye Maldonado and Rubens, I think.

So does that mean Hulkenberg and Raikkonen in a Williams next season then?

I hope its bye-bye Maldonado!

Anyway, forgot te race was on again, but good for Webber getting a win. Been av pretty good season all things considered. A good amount of exciting racing, even if it wasn't for the win. Congrats to Vettel who no question deserved it. Three in a row next year? Tongue

Even the BBC commentary team seem fed up of Red Bull Racing and their domination.  I get the feeling Eddie Jordan especially doesn't like Christian Horner.

And yes, Maldonado is rather average.  He needs to move on.

AngryAnd it was goodbye to BBC too. Only ten races next year and Mafia TV (Sky) takes over the contract for the whole series. I am not going pay a single penny to the same ones who did Milly Dowler in for a fistful of dollars. That means no early morning to watch Melbourne GP. BBC only comes in at China, three races in. And I have to pay my TV licence if I want to stay out of jail so I have no choice. It seems like BBC will fill this new free time with toerag wrestling, cow cricket and Mahler's symphonies.

Indeed.  Only 10 races is disgusting.  I'm not saying that everyone loves F1 and I can see the argument that some may not want it on BBC 1 but we still need F1 on the BBC.

I've always wondered why the BBC didn't have a dedicated sports channel.  That would appease all those whining ingrates and would allow those of us who want to watch some sport on BBC to do so without upsetting those who want to watch Songs of Praise on a Sunday (or Eastenders or whatever else is on).

I guess it's all down to money and the highest bidder.  A complete shame.  I don't have Sky (and neither will I ever have it) and even if I did, I'd not pay to watch F1.

Looks like I may actually have to illegally stream it.

What else can I say that hasn't been about the Vettel topic? Some sh*t along the lines we all wanna believe what we want and you are insufferable, so I wont bother....unless I just didTongue

I was never a fan of Maldonado. Unfair perhaps and not like Williams was a good ride but w/e I just don't really care for him.
